Navigating Economic Challenges: Coping Strategies Of Middle-class Workers In The Face Of Low Income, Bujumbura, Burundi
Using a descriptive quantitative research design, this study explored coping strategies adopted by middle-class workers in at least two privately owned firms (PACOBU & Musumba Steel) located in Bujumbura, Burundi, who suffer from low-income levels. Although the middle-class workforce is a growing and important consumer segment, research on consumption-based coping strategies within this group has been scarce. A quantitative approach was employed, with a sample of 45 employees selected through simple random sampling and analyzed using SPSS version 25.0 (IBM Corp) to produce the analysis.
