The study is done for research scholars university of Mysore India. A stratified samples of 23 research scholars were taken. The study deals with the research scholar motivation in the research work .The person who is more motivated in the research work are more involved in the research work. The study was done on 6 variables and hypotheses were tested on demographic variables. The results reveal that there is no significant difference among the demographic variables except part time and full time research scholars. Key words : motivation, Engagement ,Research scholars.
