Introduction: The use of locally tailored strategies is very important in the prevention and control of outbreaks. Even with efforts put in place by the national government, the use of COVID 19 vaccination services continues to be low in rural and difficult to reach parts of Kenya. The reason cited for this problem is lack of community participation in addition to lack of bottom-up strategies for the delivery of response services. Methodology: A mixed methodology approach was utilized in this study, which involves the use of both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
