Prevalence And Patterns Of Hiv Drug Resistance Mutations In Kenya: A Systematic Review
Background: The HIV burden is very high in Kenya and although the scale-up of antiretroviral therapy (ART) has enhanced access to the treatment, the development of HIV drug resistance mutations (DRMs) poses a threat to the success of treatment in the long term. It is necessary to produce evidence locally that can inform national policy and help the country continue progressing towards the UNAIDS 95-95-95 goals. Methods: We have conducted a search using PRISMA guidelines in PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, Scopus, Cochrane CENTRAL, AJOL, and Google Scholar until December 2025.
