Faculty Retention Practices In Private Universities In Kenya: Beyond Strategic Human Resource Practices
There is a growing interest among researchers in education on exploring strategic human resource strategies for faculty retention in universities around the world. A survey of the human resource strategies was carried in private universities in Kenya. Key findings: The participants, especially deans, heads of departments and lecturers without administrative tasks, proposed ways of improving the existing strategies to enhance faculty retention, challenges they considered to be faced by strategies human resource managers (SHRM) in their efforts to retain faculty and ways to minimize the same.
