This is a critical analysis of turn-taking and conformity to journalism norms using a television interview of Rwanda's President Paul Kagame and Neven Mimica, the EU Commissioner for Cooperation and Development, hosted by Catherine Nicholson, a journalist from Radio France Internationale and France 24 television. Overall, TV interviews follows turn-taking format with the host asking question and the guests answering the question, but sometimes, interviews depart from this norm, for instance, when hosts air their opinions to set grounds for questions or the guests goes beyond the asked question.
