Assessment Of Rural Households’ Membership Of Social Groups And Their Access To Forest Resources Exploitation And Utilization In Benue State, Nigeria
The study was carried out to assess rural household's membership of social groups and their access to forest resources exploitation and utilization in Benue State, Nigeria. The study revealed that majority (63.0%) engaged in fuel wood traders association 55.0% engaged in bush meat traders association while 53.0% engaged in charcoal traders association. 72.0% of the respondents have had free access to forest resources in the study area. The study concluded that h respondents engaged in membership of associations such as fuel wood traders association, bush meat traders association and charcoal traders association. They have free access to forest resources exploitation and utilization. Download
