The study investigated the level of cognitive self-reliance of senior secondary school students in Ekiti State, Nigeria; it examined the relationship between students’ sex and their level of cognitive self-reliance; it also determined if family background (family size and structure) was significantly related to the students’ level of cognitive self-reliance.
