The Contributions Of Special Educational Needs Coordinators To The Education Of Children With Special Educational Needs In The Upper East Region Of Ghana
The study sought to find out what Special Educational Needs Coordinators (SENCOs) in the upper east region of Ghana do as their contributions in the development of children with special educational needs. The study specifically looked at the SENCO’s role played in advocacy, identification and assessment for placement. The challenges often faced relating to their work was also looked at. The unstructured interview guide was used to collect data. This was a case study and ten SENCOs were purposively sampled and used.
