Knowledge, Attitudes And Practices Influencing Uptake Of Skilled Childbirth Services Among Women Of Reproductive Health In Kaiti Division, Makueni District, Kenya
Objective The study sought to establish the demographic characteristics, Knowledge, attitudes and practices influencing uptake of skilled childbirth services, among women of childbearing age in Kaiti Division in Makueni District, Kenya. Method This was a descriptive cross-sectional study involving women of childbearing age (15-49 years), which was conducted in March 2010. A sample size of 246 women was selected randomly from the estimated target population of 12,077 in Kaiti Division. Findings The results show that preference for assistance by certain gender of attendants and use of certain positions during delivery and knowledge on danger signs were significant in use of skilled child
