Evaluation plays an important role in art education, and it also has a close relationship with teaching and learning. Therefore, this paper mainly discussed how to change notion of education, attach more importance to students' character, personality and needs, as well as their all-round development to treat art education as a method of quality education. Meanwhile, this paper also discussed effective evaluation in art education through aspects such as evaluation criteria of teaching, educational idea of teachers, evaluation view and concept and evaluation of class.
