Contribution Of Group Work As Active Learning Methods To The Performance Of Learners
The aim of this study is to identify the contribution of group work as a method of teaching-learning to the performance of learners. It was conducted on a sample size of 55 teachers on a population of 147 teachers and 6 head teachers of Rwamagana secondary schools. The primary data was sourced from teachers, which was mainly though administered questionnaires, interview and observation. The qualitative data was obtained from focus interviews with head teachers and observation made in group work sessions. The data was subjected to statistical processing and analysis. Outputs from analysis were presented in tabular, graphic forms and verbatim statements were incorporated where appropriate.
