Critical Analysis Of The Decentralized Recruitment Policy Of The Teachers Service Commission In Teachers’ Recruitment For Public High Schools In Kenya
The Teachers Service Commission is mandated to manage the recruitment, registration and employment of all teachers in the country. The purpose of the study was to critically analyze the policy on decentralization of teacher recruitment. This study was based on the bureaucratic theory advanced by Max Weber. The study used a qualitative research methodology particularly critical content analysis design. The researchers critiqued the policy and examined literature related to the competence of the panelist, school principals and implications on the provision of quality education. The study recommended induction and training of members of BOMs and engagement of an HR specialist.
