Effective management is about delegating assignments to subordinates and empowering them to perform the tasks. Delegation is essential to enable the manager give out their best as they concentrate on major matters and leave subordinates to concentrate on minor issues and to develop and motivate subordinates. Delegation is vital for effective and efficient management of organizations to accomplish organizational goals. To ensure successful delegation there must be established objectives, well-defined authority and responsibilities, training of subordinates; unity of command; parity of responsibility and authority; and adequate communication.
