Digital Financing Systems And Liquidity Of Public Secondary Schools In Machakos County; Kenya
Liquidity management continues to present a major challenge for Kenyan public secondary schools, despite sustained government interventions such as the Free Day Secondary Education (FDSE) program. Although FDSE provides critical financial support, many schools still face persistent irregularities in cash flows arising from delayed government disbursements and unpredictable parental fee payments. These disruptions limit the capacity of institutions to meet recurrent obligations, including timely payment of staff salaries, procurement of instructional materials, and maintenance of school infrastructure.
