Dwindling Performance In Mathematics In The Basic Education Certificate Examination Of Akuapem North District, Ghana
The study investigated the factors responsible for the consistent poor performance of mathematics in the Basic Education Certificate Examination in the Akuapem North District. The study was a survey which used both quantitative and qualitative means for data collection. A questionnaire and a semi-structured interview was used as a basis of collecting data from two hundred and seven (207) participants, made up of one hundred and sixty two (162) students, eighteen (18) parents and twenty seven (27) teachers.
