Every activity in human life is directed towards the individual’s subjective well-being. The two motivations that govern the pursuit of this happiness are acquisition and enjoyment. These motivations become problematic if one does not relate to them properly. This correct relationship is termed frugality; the incorrect relationship is either of the two extremes deviating from frugality, suppression or indulgence.
