Optimality Of Groundwater Data Network In Betwa River Catchment
To develop ground water resources of any region, an assessment of optimum data record becomes pre-requisite. As the description of groundwater characteristics depends upon distribution, accuracy and precision of the record of hydrograph stations, , therefore, quantitative analysis of data becomes essential to determine its optimality. The concept is explained in detail here with respect to one parameter, i.e. depth to groundwater level because it constitutes the most important aspect of any hydro-geological investigation. The spatial extent of variability is analysed pixel-wise in the context of Betwa Catchment by plotting isopleths lines in GIS software.
