Application Of Markov Analysis To Boy Child Progression In Kenyan Public Primary Schools
This paper presents an application of Markov analysis to boy’s progression in Kenyan public primary schools. Data from Central Province, North Eastern Province and nationally was analyzed. Data for the years 2003/2004 was used to develop the models and data for the year 2010/2011 was used to evaluate those models. Data for the two provinces was analyzed separately. The results indicated that there is a regional disparities in repetition rates, dropout rates and completion rates, in the two Provinces
