Comparative Analysis Of Federal Government Allocation Across Southwestern Nigeria: A Statistical Investigation
This study examines the patterns, disparities, and statistical significance of Federal Government allocations (FAAC disbursements) across the six Southwestern states of Nigeria (Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ondo, and Ekiti) between January 2016 and June 2025. Anchored on Fiscal Federalism Theory, it explores how intergovernmental fiscal relations influence subnational autonomy and development. Using secondary data from the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC), descriptive statistics and one-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) were applied.
