Zimbabwe faces numerous health challenges. The magnitude of the challenges has changed over the years in the country. In addition, there is the problem of gross spatial inequalities in in health conditions which date back to the colonial era. The article examines the transition of health conditions Zimbabwe during the period from 1992 to 2012. It discusses the major features of the study area, the description of how quintiles were determined (the method of data analysis) and the temporal pattern of health conditions in the country.
