The world is facing an increasing challenge of Internally Displaced Persons. In 2000, there were about 40 million Internally Displaced Persons worldwide. In 2014 alone 38 million people were displaced almost all of them by violent conflict. The United Nations and governments are conscious of the need to resettle Internally Displaced Persons and more so expect such persons to make voluntary resettlement choices.
