Effects Of The Self-investigation Method On Pre-school Children Science Activitiesand Its Achievement – A Case Study Of Iveti Division, Machakos County
The aim of this research was to find out the effect of the self-investigation method on children’s achievements in pre-school science in Kathiani sub-county, Machakos County. The theoretical framework of this study was based on constructivists’ theory which was active learner participation. This theory was brought up by John Dewey’s and DeromeBrunners Philosophies. Constructivism emphasized that learners must be engaged in meaningful activities. A quantitative methodology with aquasi-experimental research design was used to conduct the study.
