Uyo is susceptible to water erosion and flooding. This paper adopted a simple random sampling technique and sampled opinion of three hundred respondents on implications of the scourge in the City of Uyo. The result revealed that water erosion and urban flooding engender loss of lives and properties, stress and disease outbreak, degradation of agricultural lands obstruction of human and vehicular movements and disruption of economic activities in affected areas. However, it is recommended that government authorities should constitute a technical advisory committee comprising government agencies, Town Planners, Geographers, Surveyors, Hydrologists and Civil Engineers among others.
