Abstract
Before and after colonialism, industrial conflicts have been a prominent feature in the Nigerian labour history. This is evidence in private and public work sectors. Majority of these conflicts have ended up is strike actions. This has adverse consequences on the nation’s industrial growth and development. Previous studies paid attention on the socio-institutional effects of industrial conflicts without fully looking at their remote and immediate causes.
