Mining is seen as one of the important economic activities which have the potential of contributing to the development of economies. Whiles the contribution of mining to national development has been well acknowledged, others contend that, mining activities have polluted water bodies influencing water usage among people closer to these areas. The research examines the effect of mining on the pattern of water usage in Obuasi. Three communities with a total of 100 respondents were contacted for relevant information through questionnaire administration and interviews.
