Seasonality Copping Strategies Among Cocoa Growers: A Case Of Kyela And Rungwe Districts
The study investigated how cocoa farmers cope with seasonality variations in two districts of Tanzania. The study objectives were; to identify main buffer sources of income; and to identify challenges facing cocoa growers. The study adopted a descriptive research design. Data was collected using survey techniques. Thematic data analysis and simple descriptive statistical analysis were used to analyze data. The study identified maize, beans, groundnuts, paddy, watermelon, banana, oil palm, and cassava to be major buffer crops for cocoa growers.
