Unity in diversity and peaceful coexistence in Nigeria have been put to test in several occasions in Nigeria. Most often, national interest is often displaced by tribal and state oriented interest. Of recent, individual interest has even superseded any other form of interest in the country creating impediment to unity in diversity and peaceful coexistence in the country.
