The study compared WASSCE and NECO SSCE General Mathematics multiple-choice questions (Paper 1) with respect to their items difficulty levels and discrimination powers. It was hypothesized that more (or higher level) difficulty and discrimination power was not significantly associated with one SSCE than the other. A set of 2013 SS3 students was purposely selected from three schools in Okehi Local Government Area of Kogi State, Nigeria.
