Education Under Fire: Armed Conflict And Sustainable Development Goal 4 In Borno State, Nigeria
This paper examines the impact of armed conflict on the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4) in Borno State, Nigeria, between 2010 and 2024, with particular focus on the Boko Haram insurgency and its disruption of inclusive and equitable quality education. The study investigates how conflict has affected educational access, infrastructure, teaching personnel, vulnerable learners, and learning continuity, while also assessing the responses of state and non-state actors. A qualitative research design was adopted, drawing on Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) with 58 participants
