Willingness To Pay For Safe Water In Surulere Local Government Area Of Oyo State, Nigeria
There is need to access safe water because of its implications on public health and quality of life. A multistage sampling technique was used to select 80 respondents. Data used for this study was analysed through descriptive statistics and logistic regression. The logistic results revealed that marital status have a direct relationship with willingness to pay for safe water and significant (p<0.05) while age (p<0.05), years of formal education (p<0.05), primary occupation (p<0.05) and secondary occupation (p<0.05) have inverse relationship with willingness to pay. The study concludes that socio-economic characteristics have significant effect on willingness to pay for safe water.
