The situation on women entrepreneurial activities is minimal worldwide and discriminative. Literature
available shows that not many women are interested in the field of entrepreneurship. The purpose of the study
was to investigate differences in entrepreneurial attitudes, activity and aspirations among women in Kenya
The survey research was convenient as many women in business were reached and the findings were from
good representation of the population under study. The population for the survey involved in the study
consisted of 190 women business owners in Kisii town, and who were in the sub-sectors of manufacturing,
farming, and service providers.
