Level Of Awareness And Attitude Towards Human Papillomavirus Vaccination Among Parents At The Kenyatta National Hospital
Background: In Kenya, human papillomavirus (HPV) is the primary cause of cancer among women of reproductive age. The HPV vaccine was introduced for girls in Kenya in 2019. This study aimed to determine parents' awareness and attitudes to HPV vaccination and determine parental characteristics associated with awareness and positive attitude towards the HPV vaccine. Methodology: This was a descriptive cross-sectional study among 220 parents. A structured questionnaire was used to obtain data. Data were analyzed using statistical package for the social sciences (SPSS) software version 27.
