Purpose: The increased popularity of computers has seen an increase in asthenopic complaints among computer users. By partaking this study, we obliged to contribute immensely to the understanding of the various binocular anomalies especially accommodative insufficiency (AI) i.e reduced accommodative strength is the leading cause of asthenopic complaints such as headache, fatigue, tiredness during and or after computer use or extensive near work. The study was conducted to determine the prevalence of accommodative induced asthenopia among computer users as well as the magnitude of AI and its variation with age, gender and duration of computer use (hours/day).
