Globally, traffic crashes have accounted for 1.2 million death and 50million injuries per year of which 85% occur in developing countries. The causes of road fatalities have been mostly due to human error accounting for about 80-90% of the fatalities. Such alarming statistics call for active measures to reduce number of road accidents. This paper sought to find out how road communication technologies (RCTs) can promote road safety awareness in Uganda as a measure to reduce on the number of road accidents.
