The purpose of the study was to assess the availability and utilization of sanitary facilities in some selected periodic market places in Plateau State, Nigeria. To achieve the purpose of this study, five research objectives with five corresponding research questions were formulated. A Cross-sectional research design was utilized for the study. The population of the study consisted of all sellers and buyers who attend periodic market places in Plateau State. The sample size population for the study comprised one hundred and thirty-five traders gotten through purposive sampling technique. The instrument used for data collection was questionnaire.
