Assessments Of Effects Of Various Types Of Forest Flora Medicinal Resources Exploited On The Livelihood Of Rural Households And Their Intensity Of Utilization In Benue
Rural households exploit various types of forest flora medicinal resources at varying intensity for medicinal use. The study was conducted to assess the effects of various types of forest flora medicinal resources exploited on the livelihood of rural households and their level of intensity of exploitation by the rural households. A well structured interview schedule was used to purposively collect information from 300 eligible respondents in the study area. It was evident from the result of study that 76.0% of the trees roots were mostly identified as forest flora medicinal use and very highly intensively utilized (75.0%) by the rural house hold whereas, trees/shrubs leaves were (70.0%)
