A lot of wood dusts are generated by various sawmills and allied wood product industries, in places with high energy challenges, yet treated as wastes and disposed of through flaring or piled up at some locations to undergo natural biodegradation. This study therefore seeks to harness this vast energy resource, for high grade energy conversion into fuel ethanol through biochemical conversion route.
