Social Entrepreneurship As A Strategy To Mitigate Nigerian Youths Illegal Migration
Illegal migration of African youth in general, and Nigeria in particular, contributes to social and economic problems. Some of the problems are brain drain, modern day slavery and other social vices. The paper seeks to examine social entrepreneurship as a strategy for mitigating illegal migration among the African youth. Structured questionnaires were administered to sixty respondents in the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria, 10 respondents from each zone. The study revealed a gap in terms of social amenities, education, health facilities, employment creation and revenue generation between rural areas and urban areas. As a result, the youth are desperately migrating from villages to cities;
