This study established the relationship between teachers’ characteristics and their knowledge of test construction in Day secondary schools in Maiduguri Metropolis. It investigated the relationship between teachers’ characteristics (school type, professionalism, experience, gender and qualification) in relation to their competency in test construction. The study involved 92 teachers in government day secondary schools and 98 teachers from private secondary schools in Maiduguri Metropolis.
