The Role Of Peer Pressure In Sexual Risk Taking Among School Adolescents In Kisumu Municipality, Kenya
Peers continue to play a central role in defining the extent of sexual risk taking among adolescents. The current study was carried out in Kisumu Municipality, being one of the leading regions in HIV/AIDS prevalence (15 %) in Kenya, to examine the role of peer pressure in sexual risk taking among adolescents. The study adopted descriptive survey and cor relation research designs. From the study population of 10,278 secondary school students enrolled in 31 secondary schools in Kisumu Municipality, a sample size of 357 responded to the study questionnaires.
