This research work shows the trend analysis of data on infant mortality rate from Kaiama Cottage Hospital in Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area in Bayelsa State for a time period of fourteen years (2002 – 2015). The data was summarized under three categories: Year, Number of Delivery, Number of Infant Mortality. Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) regression method was used in the computation of log linear infant mortality rates. The estimated parameters obtained from the ordinary least square estimates of the infant mortality rates were used to make projections for the next 17 years, up to year 2030.
