The study determined the perception and predisposing factors to high blood pressure -HBP among older community-dwelling adults in southeast Nigeria. Specifically, the study ascertained the perception, symptoms and predisposing factors to HBP among older community-dwelling adults. The study was based on health belief model by Godfrey Hockbaum, Stephen Kegeles, Howard Leventhal and Urwin Rosenstock. In order to achieve the purpose of the study, the qualitative research methodology particularly the content and desk analysis design was adopted. This design was considered most appropriate because of its nature in allowing for comprehensive analysis beyond the statistical results used in the study
