Objective: Given that polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons are a set of environmental pollutants which have been associated with major health issues such as cancer, jaundice, respiratory disease, and even disruption in foetal development; the need for awareness of the health effects of these compounds has been raised by previous studies.
