In this study, we examined different perspectives of capitalism in relation to business, focusing the lens of the discussion on profit making. To this end, we identified three forms of capitalism, including welfare, libertarian, and compassionate or charitable capitalism. We argued strongly for the case of profit making as the bottom line and therefore, the economic responsibility of business.
