Harmful practices are done deliberately by man on the body or the psyche of other human beings for no therapeutic purpose but rather for cultural or socio-conventional motives and these have harmful consequences on the health and the rights of the victims. This is to assess the prevalence, pattern and socio-demographic determinants of harmful cultural practices against women in Imo State, South East, Nigeria.The study was a descriptive cross-sectional study carried out among 404 women from the ages of 15 years and above, from selected communities in Orlu, Imo State.
