Training of Educational Quality Assurance and Standards Officers (QASOs) is important for the effective performance of their roles. This training is sometimes done without first doing Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to find out exactly what these officers need in terms of knowledge, kills and attitudes. This sometimes compromises the effectiveness of the in-service training these officers undergo hence compromising their competence in performing their duties.
