Self-employment Intention Of Hospitality Students In A Polytechnic In Ghana
This paper explores self-employment intention of hospitality students in Ho Polytechnic. 107 final year students took part in the survey. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire. Findings revealed that exposure to polytechnic education influences self-employment intention of hospitality students. To be one’s own boss, and courses offered in school motivated them to set up their own business. Self-confidence and goal setting ability and tendency to observe were the characteristics students acquired to be able to be self-employed.
