Physical activities can promote cardiovascular and respiratory functioning and increased quality of life. To ascertain these benefits, this study sought the relationship between habitual physical activity level and cardiorespiratory fitness of 9 to 11 year old male children in Nigeria. The stratified and simple random sampling techniques were used to select schools and subjects for the study. Age, height and weight and fitness levels were assessed with Cooper’s 12 minute test; and data used to estimate maximum oxygen uptake.
