Effects Of Socioeconomic Status On Body Mass Index And Body Shape Index Of Civil Servants Working In Tertiary Institution
Overweight and obesity have been associated with increased risk of cardio-metabolic diseases. This study assessed the relationship between socio-demographic status and anthropometric indices. A total of 200 respondents were systematically recruited into the study. A pretested semi structured questionnaire was used to obtain information on socio-demographic status of the respondents. Their nutritional status was assessed using anthropometric indices. Result showed that majority (84.5%) of the respondents had post secondary education, 22%/ 30%, 23% and 18% earned between ₦30,000-₦59,99, while 30% earned between ₦60,000 and ₦99,99944, ₦100,000-₦149,999 and ₦150000- ₦249,999 res
